Do I need a permit to start classes?

No permit is required to take the driver's ed class, but the student must be at least 14 years old by the first day of class.

How long does it take to complete the class?

You are required to attend 30 hours of classroom instruction.  We administer a quiz after all 12 chapters, totaling 219 points possible.  We administer 3 unit tests worth 100 points each.  You MUST score 80% or higher to pass the course.  The course is either PASS or FAIL.

What happens if I miss a class?

If you miss a class, it must be made up. In this event, you will be given the opportunity to attend the class at the end of the current class session. You can miss one (1) class due to illness or other extenuating circumstances.

Does the classroom have to be completed to start behind-the-wheel lessons?

Yes. Once you have completed the class and have your permit, you can schedule your driving lessons through our website.

What happens after I complete and pass the classroom portion?

Once you have completed 30 hours of classroom instruction AND achieved a cumulative score of at least 80%, you will receive a stamped/signed certificate. You will want to take the certificate to the DMV along with the required documents to obtain your Instruction Permit. Once you have your Instruction Permit in hand, you can log in to your portal and begin scheduling behind-the-wheel (BTW) drive lesson times.

What payment methods do you accept?

Are your instructors licensed and certified?

Yes, each of our instructors is licensed by the state to teach classroom training and Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) lessons to all age groups.

Do you offer payment plans?

We believe in providing an equal opportunity for all qualified students to attend our Driver Ed course(s). If you are unable to provide full payment by the registration deadline, please communicate with us to explore possible options. We are passionate about helping you find a reasonable solution so you can attend and learn!

What is your refund policy?

We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate students' requests to make up missed sessions. However, the circumstances below prevent refunds.

All sales are final. No refunds will be issued for any reason, including but not limited to the following list.

  • Failure for any reason to schedule behind-the-wheel lessons within the contract period
  • Failure for any reason to attend class within the contract period
  • Failure for any reason to make up missed lessons/classes within the contract period
  • Deciding to go to another provider to complete your driver's education for any reason
  • Allowing the contract to expire, for any reason, without completing classroom or behind-the-wheel instruction
  • In the event of expulsion because of misconduct or excessive missed sessions
  • Deciding not to take the Driver Ed Course or BTW instruction
Do you charge a cancellation fee?

If you fail to show up for a driving lesson or do not cancel or reschedule on our website at least 24 hours in advance, you will be charged a $75 late cancellation fee.

How old do I need to be to start driver's ed?

You must be at least 14 by the first day of the driver's ed class.

Do I need a temporary license to start driver's ed?

If you are 18 or older, you'll need a valid, unexpired learner's or driver's license to start driving lessons. If you are under 18 and have taken the driver education class, you'll need a valid, unexpired learner's permit to start driving lessons. If you are between 14 and 17 years old, you do not need a license or permit to take our driver education class.

How long does it take to complete driver's ed?

The completion time depends on age, responsibility/maturity level, passing score for classroom and behind-the-wheel (BTW) portions, scheduling flexibility, and instructor availability, etc. Typically, each student completes the classroom portion and behind-the-wheel lessons within eight weeks.

What if I forgot my username or password?

You can reset your username or password on our website by clicking the "Forgot your Username or Password?" link on the login page.

Behind-the-Wheel (BTW)

Can I request to have lessons with a friend?

Yes, you can request your BTW driving lessons with a friend.  We will try to accommodate the request as long as both parties agree.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my driving lesson?

Should you need to reschedule a lesson, you may do so by logging into your account on our website. You must cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a $75 late cancellation fee.

When can I start the behind-the-wheel lessons?

You can start driving lessons anytime with a valid Instruction permit or driver's license. You can schedule driving lessons on our website once registered and paid in full. If you are under 18, you must complete the driver's ed class before starting behind-the-wheel lessons.

How do I schedule a behind-the-wheel lesson?

Log in to your student account on our website. Then, select a date and time to schedule your lesson(s).

Do you offer home pick-up and drop-off?

At this time, we do not offer pick-up or drop-off services.

Can I use my own car?

No, our vehicle has additional safety features (passenger brake, dash cams, student driver signs, etc.) that don't come in standard cars.

Will I have the same instructor for every lesson?

At this time, we have one(1) driving instructor, so you will have the same one for each lesson.

Do I need to have my own car insurance for behind-the-wheel?

No, you are covered under our commercial insurance during all behind-the-wheel training.

What will I learn during my behind-the-wheel lessons?

We will provide a well-rounded driving skills course to help you understand basic driving knowledge and state driving exam requirements.  We will try to expose you to situations safely to learn correctly.  Our classes and lessons are provided year-round, including Winter. When you live in a part of the country that experiences snow, ice, and sleet, you should learn how best to drive in it safely.

How fast can I complete behind-the-wheel lessons?

This depends on your scheduling flexibility and instructor availability. You can take one 2-hour behind-the-wheel lesson each day and schedule up to three driving lessons in advance. You must have at least one practice day between lessons. So you could schedule Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Once you complete Monday's lesson, you could schedule another upcoming lesson.

What additional safety equipment are your cars equipped with?

Our vehicle has additional safety features, including (instructor brake, instructor gas pedal, front, rear, and interior dash cams, student driver signs, etc.) that don't come in standard cars. Seat belt use is required for ALL occupants.

Will I have other students in the car with me as a teen?

Yes, TWO students must complete 12 hours of BTW training, including six hours of instructed drive time and six hours of observation time from the back seat.
